It's always fun to stop by Beaver Ponds. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Clearwater Mountains has to offer. Why not camp at Heyburn State Park while you're here at Beaver Ponds. Beaver Ponds is one of the lakes here in the Clearwater Mountains. Through the summer months highs here at Beaver Ponds get into the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's

Ponds. During your trip to Beaver Ponds you'll meet some people from Moscow for sure, and there's great hiking along the White Pine Scenic Drive. Shady River RV Park is a pleasant local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike

Spring Valley Reservoir
 | 18 miles away Spring Valley Reservoir has been a place I have visited since I was a young child and now I have introduced it to my children. Unfortunately the past few times I have visted the reservoir it has increasingly become more and more of a disappointment. Although there are ''camp hosts'' that are designated for the area they are not available and the swim beach, restrooms, trails are littered and vandalized. When we have used the area for camping there have been individuals speeding in and out of the park, partying all hours of the night and the camp hosts do not intervene. I have yet to see them interact with guest of Spring Valley nor have I seen them working on the area. I assume that they are being allowed to live there without costs in trade for taking care of and monitoring the area. I think this should be reviewed by the State especially if our tax dollars are going for upkeep and care of this valuable and beautiful reservoir.... |
