    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Beaver Lake. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Schweitzer; tremendous hiking is available along the Green Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Eaton Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at; obviously Garfield Creek flows through this area. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Pack River, and there's great hiking along the Upper Declaration  
   Trail.
If you get bored of Beaver Lake, you could also take a look at nearby Mud Lake. There's so much to do here at Beaver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Garfield Bay Resort is a good spot for that. Beaver Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Idaho Country Resort is a wonderful local campground, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Edgewater Resort is a fine choice. For the duration of the summer months here at Beaver
 
               Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Beaver Lake.
This place is peerless, just look at all the enjoyable stuff to do in close proximity to Beaver Lake. Inn At Sand Creek is a fine place to get some rest, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Beaver Lake; Shertz Trail is a splendid local trail. From a rainfall point of view Beaver Lake is a relatively common site; the wettest month of the year is frequently November, that's the one that rains the most; July is when it's the driest.
Garfield Bay is nearby and always splendid to have a look at, and there are some good whitewater spots on Pack River.

We also have camping cabins and covered wagons and Wooden pole tents with wooden floors. We also have internet, movie rentals, and sell propane too. This area has tons of hiking, fishing, hunting and canoing/kayaking in the Kootenai River. The Kootenai Wildlife Refuge is 5 miles away and is great to hike around. We have fishing and swimming in our 3 acre lake and have 2 huge Lakeside Firepits. Some of the sites have BBQs and Picnic Tables and we sell ice, wood, charcoal, pop, snacks and some RV hookup supplies. Here are a couple of great hikes to add to the site:
