average; January is the wettest month with most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All through the summer highs here at Bear Lake get into the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's.
For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Bear Lake sink into the 0's. Soar down the rapids of Falls River in a kayak; why not head up to Grand
Targhee and strap some skis to your feet. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Bear Lake; Boundary Creek Trail is a good local trail, and don’t forget to check out Bear Meadow while you're here at Bear Lake.
