Do check out Mud Lake next to Bear Lake, it's a stunning lake, and Bear Lake North RV Park and Campground is a great local campground. If you need a spot to stay Crystal Inn Logan is a great choice, and if you came for an overnight stay Minnetonka RV Parks and Campgrnd is a great site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. | | time of the year at Bear Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 20's; nighttime lows during the winter for Bear Lake tend to be in the 0's. Limber Pine Trail
 | 15 miles away The Limber Pine trail is more of a nature walk than a hike. It's good for kids and those seeking an easy, short trail. Educational posting about flora, etc. are included around this loop trail. It's fun, too, even if you are a serious hiker. I think I could complete the loop in 15 minutes, but one posting I saw said 45 minutes. Walk it and find out. Easy access right off the road.... |
Bloomington Lake Trail
 | 19 miles away ...ngton Lake is up Bloomington Canyon on the West Side of the Bear Lake Valley. The canyon road is accessed off of Highway 89 in the community of Bloomington. It is approximately 11 miles to the top of the canyon and parking area. The road is dirt and gravel and suitable for most passenger cars. It is a short trail to the lake where you will be rewarded with a beautiful high mountain lake with high surrounding cliffs. There are many trails the lead off from the canyon and connect to other surrounding canyons. One of the more notable trails is the Highline Trail. This is an approximate 60 mile trail that runs north and south along the ridge line of the mountains. The trail can be accessed at many point including the top of Bloomington Canyon. At the parking area the road continues a bit futher west and the road turns into a trail that leads up to the ridge.
