    If you are in Idaho county it's always a good idea to stop by Basin Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Basin Lake; Black Butte Trail is a magnificent local trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Basin Lake has to offer, you can camp at Papoose Creek Campground. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Salmon River Mountains has to offer. So much enjoyable stuff in the neighborhood  
   of Basin Lake, truly impressive. Good hiking is available along the Coyote Springs Trail, and you'll stumble on a beautiful lake called Swamp Angel Lake.
The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Get your heart beating on the perfect whitewater of Big Creek, and a charming lake like Cottonwood Lake is a brilliant place to visit. During the long summer days at Basin Lake highs are commonly in the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 40's. Throughout
 
               the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Basin Lake.
There's whitewater on Monumental Creek for all you adrenaline people, and Cottonwood Butte is clearly visible from Basin Lake. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Salmon River Mountains is so good! Go for a hike on the Farrow Mountain Trail. There's so much to do here at Basin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Parrot Placer Campground is a splendid place for that. An average amount of rain falls at Basin Lake; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the one that snows the most; July is when it's the driest.
