All the outdoors cool things in the Sawtooth Range will keep you coming back repeatedly. There's so much to do here at Baker Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Prairie Campground is a great place for that; Soldier Mountain Ski Resort is a pleasant local ski area. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Baker Lake. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 30's. All through the winter the highs are regularly in the 20's,       and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Baker Lake drop into the-10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawtooth Range. The skiing at Sun Valley is glorious, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Baker Lake; Yellow Belly Trail is a wonderful local trail. Baker Lake gets very little rain; most of the snow falls through December while July is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more                  than a day to discover everything Baker Lake has to offer, you can camp at Baker Creek Campground, and the Smoky Mountains casts its shadow over Baker Lake. On a beautiful day you get a view of Baker Peak from Baker Lake, and Slide Rock Canyon is another glorious site to pop by nearby. So much entertaining stuff next to Baker Lake, simply astonishing.
