If you are in Kootenai county it's always a good idea to stop by Avondale Lake. The amount of rainfall that falls at Avondale Lake is close to the national average; during the month of December you get the most snow around here, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Avondale Lake to make out the water at Hayden Lake Dam. There's so much to do here at Avondale Lake that you need to camp here for a while,

if you're here at Avondale Lake; Avondale Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Idaho Panhandle National Forests: Coeur d'Alene - Kaniksu - and St. Joe National Forests is a nice local campground.

Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows at Avondale Lake through the winter ordinarily drop into the 10's. Have
a splendid hiking adventure along the English Point National Recreation Trail, and swamps can be such out of the ordinary spots, check out Tottens Pond if you're here at Avondale Lake.
Not far from Avondale Lake you stumble on Berven Bay, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail.
