not the only place nearby, Gem Lake is a nearby lake, and a great site for whitewater paddling is Snake River. Camping at Windy Saddle Campground is always a great experience, and going for a hike along the Heavens Gate Trail will
let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
And if that's not enough there's a load more exciting things to do in the Wallowa Mountains. Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge is a splendid spot to get some rest; since you're here
you can take a hike along the Deep Creek Trail. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll like Appendix Lake. You could also stop by Upper Cannon Lake if you're here at Appendix Lake; it's close by, and this area is dominated
by the Seven Devils Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Whitetail Club and Resort.
