This lake is located in the wonderful Sawtooth Range. Alturas Lake is a location that is reasonably dehydrated regularly; throughout December this area sees the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Alturas Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 20's while the       cold winter nights at Alturas Lake are in the-10's. A wonderful site for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Alturas Lake is Salmon River; if you're here, you could also visit stunning Perkins Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Cabin Creek flows through this area; why not camp at Alturas Inlet Campground while you're here at Alturas Lake. A good spot to camp here at Alturas Lake is Smoky Bear Campground, and Pettit Lake is a nearby lake that you could have                  a look at. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place!
