    Why not stop by Alligator Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. On a good day at Alligator Lake you can take a hike along the DeCoster Trail. If the weather is fine here at Alligator Lake, you can go for a hike along the De Coster Trail; a good close by hotel is Teton Mountain View Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Carlton Cutoff Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; you can  
   run the rapids of Teton River.
During the summer months at Alligator Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. All through the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's while Alligator Lake night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. One of the overriding characteristics of the surroundings of Alligator Lake is Mount Manning, and get your heart pumping on the good whitewater
 
               of Pine Creek. If you came to camp Pine Creek Campground is a perfect place to do that, and there's some flowing water nearby, North Fork Mahogany Creek is a stream you can visit while you're here.
Camping at Teton Valley Campground is always a pleasant experience, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Driggs is a delightful place to spend a night or two. At Alligator Lake you don’t see much precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is March. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool things the area right next door to Alligator Lake has to offer. A tremendous spot right next door to Alligator Lake is Buttermilk Draw; the skiing at Grand Targhee is great.
