If you came to camp Alturas Inlet Campground is a brilliant spot to do that, and the Yuba River Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Alice Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sawtooth Range. For the period of the warm months highs here at Alice Lake get into the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 30's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Alice Lake during the       winter frequently fall into the-10's. But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Sawtooth Range. If you come at the right time of year, Salmon River offers some splendid whitewater, and Alice Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Smoky Bear Campground is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Soldier Mountain Ski Resort is just what you need, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Bull Moose Trail.                  Alice Lake in fact is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. If the weather is good here at Alice Lake, you can go for a hike along the Yellow Belly Trail. The peak of El Capitan can be seen from Alice Lake; Bowknot Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out.
