Go for a hike on the Jackson County Recreational Trail; there's some flowing water nearby, Pleasant Creek is a stream you can visit while here. After a long day outdoors Artful Lodger is a great place to spend a night or two, and people from Clinton love to come here. The annual precipitation here at Western Pond is about average; of all                  the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while January is commonly the driest month. Be careful coming to Western Pond, you might not ever want to go back home again. Everybody close by loves skiing at Chestnut Mountain; if you're here, you might as well explore Sugar Camp Hollow.
