From a precipitation point of view West Lake is a pretty typical place; July is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Yeager Lake. Lakes are great; Lzaak Walton Lake is       a lake that's near West Lake, and hey, Honey Creek is a fine local stream. All through the long summer days at West Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are generally in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for West Lake.
