The annual rainfall here at Upper Y Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is usually June, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is January. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a good spot to spend a night or two, and camping is available at Lakewood Resort. This lake is so wonderful. The Tower Rock Nature Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can hit the slopes       at Chestnut Mountain close by. Santa Fe Beach is next to Upper Y Lake and is a charming beach to have a look at, and if you're into cool geologic marks try Cavanaugh Bottom. Nearby lakes? Sure, Big Keller Lake is in the vicinity of Upper Y Lake; getting to Beaver Creek from Upper Y Lake is uncomplicated. Near Upper Y Lake you hit upon a golf course called Palisades Golf Course. All through the summer at Upper Y Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's.                  During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Upper Y Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop at Lower Y Lake while you're here at Upper Y Lake; it's close by; a journey to Sheepshead Bay is always a nice idea. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. SUPER 8 MOTEL - SAVANNA is a perfect place to get some rest, and don't leave Upper Y Lake without first going for a hike along the Jackson County Recreational Trail.
