On a good day at Twin Lake you can take a hike along the Lake MacBride State Park Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Twin Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sandy Beach Campground. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Twin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Scales Pointe Campground and Marina is a great spot for that;       why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Airport NATL Public Golf Course. Any time is a fine time at Twin Lake if you like the outdoors. During your spree to Twin Lake you'll meet some folks from Cedar Rapids for sure, and if you need a place to stay Sleep Inn North Liberty is a good choice. A quick spree to McAllister Creek close to Twin Lake is a good idea, and Timber Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. Cedar River is a great                  whitewater spot in close proximity to Twin Lake, and if you get bored of Twin Lake you could also check out nearby Lake McBride.
