If you like lakes and you're in this part of Iowa you can check out Swan Lake. Swan Lake is not the only location close by, Timber Lake is a close by lake; Cedar River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby. Swisher Creek flows through this area, and after a long day outdoors Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Cedar Rapids Airport is a wonderful location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Swan Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Colony Country Camp Grounds is a splendid site for that, and going for a hike on the Lake MacBride State Park Trail is always a glorious adventure. more than a day at, Sandy Beach Campground is a delightful local campground; Swan Lake is not far at all from Iowa City. A normal amount of rain falls here at Swan Lake; throughout June this area sees the most rain while January is
the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Summertime at Swan Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Swan Lake are in the 0's. A tremendous close by hotel is Sleep Inn North Liberty.
