Here at Spring Pond you'll in all probability meet some people from Iowa City, and after a long day outdoors Mt. Pleasant Super 8 Motel is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. Not far from Spring Pond, you'll come across Sunrise Lake which is a pretty lake. Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Spring Pond. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Horse Shoe Lake, and                  the Sockum Ridge Park Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by. Going for a hike on the Jefferson County Park Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and if you came for an overnight stay Midwest Old Threshers Campground is a fine place to camp. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Spring Pond. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's.
