Paddling on Raccoon River is so much fun; Americas Best Inns-Johnston Des Moines is a great place to get some rest. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff close to Saylorville Lake. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites is a perfect place to spend a night or two, and Saylorville Lake is not the only site close by, Big Creek Pounding Area is a close by lake. For the period       of the summer at Saylorville Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Saylorville Lake. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Saylorville Lake; June is when you get the most rain here, and January on the other hand is the driest. For you golfers we recommend close by Beaver Creek Golf Course,                  and Seven Oaks has good slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Saylorville Lake is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Griff's Valley View RV Park is a brilliant place to camp nearby; Saylorville Dam is a place that is close to Saylorville Lake. Iowa State Fair Campgrounds is a tremendous campground nearby, unsurprisingly you could also pop by Lake Halice while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful.
