If you came for an overnight stay Gull Point State Park is a pleasant site to camp; there are good places to look at along the Barney Peterson Memorial Trail. Rodeway Inn near Okoboji Lake is a perfect spot to get some rest; you can hit the beach if you want, Jones Beach is practically right here. But wait, there's more to do near Okoboji Lake. Nothing beats kicking back at Crescent Beach; going for a hike on the Horseshoe       Bend Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Village East Resort is a brilliant site to spend a night or two, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Garlock Slough is right nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Summer at Okoboji Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 20's; after the sun is down through                  the winter temperatures at Okoboji Lake drop into the 0's. Take a little trip to Milford Creek if you're here at Okoboji Lake, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Emerald Hills Golf Club. Fieldstone RV Park is a splendid campground nearby, and during your visit here you'll meet some people from Spirit Lake for sure.
