Summertime at Off Slough comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Off Slough are in the 0's. Cedar Valley Lodge is a tremendous site to get some rest, and Off Slough is a magnificent location to camp, Andy Mountain Campground is a magnificent location.       Off Slough is a good place of typical rain; July is when you get the most rain here, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Yellow River State Forest Trail, and if you get bored of Off Slough you could also go to close by Mud Hen Lake. Paint Creek is a good local stream, and don't miss out on a splendid swamp; Ambrough Slough is right here at Off Slough. Dry warm beds await you at Harpers                  Cafe & Motel, and Effigy Mounds National Monument is a nice local destination. Any time is a splendid time at Off Slough if you adore the outdoors.
