Minnewashta Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is January. High temperatures at Minnewashta Lake through the summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. Minnewashta Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Arnolds Park City Campground is a good site to camp nearby, and do stop at Lower Gar Lake, it's a scenic lake. Going for a hike along the Barney Peterson Memorial Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and you can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Riverside Hills. A wonderful nearby hotel is Village East Resort; you'll discover a pretty lake called Upper Gar Lake.
