Matson Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Sleepy Hollow Restaurant is a pleasant local campground, and drift down the rapids of Cedar River in a kayak. There's wonderful hiking along the Lake MacBride State Park Trail, and a lake nearby is Wisniewski Pond. For the period of the months of summer at Matson Pond highs are frequently in the 80's. Summer overnight lows       fall down to the 60's. Highs all through the winter are generally in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Matson Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to stumble upon some friendly people from Iowa City here, and why not take a little journey to Knapp Creek if you're here. If you need a place to stay Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Cedar Rapids Airport is a wonderful choice; a tremendous site to camp here at Matson Pond is Amana Colonies Recreational                  Vehicle Park Camper. From a rain point of view Matson Pond is a quite common site; during June this area sees the most rain; January on the other hand is the driest.
