During the summer months at Markhams Pond highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows at Markhams Pond through the winter mostly dip into the 0's. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Winnebago River, and a great nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Austin. People from Austin love to come       to Markhams Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Bass Camp Restaurant/Resort; after a long day outdoors Americinn - Austin, Mn is a great spot to spend a night or two. Woodbury Creek flows through this region, and a good place to camp here at Markhams Pond is River Bend Campgrounds.
