The cheerful folks of Boone like to hang out nearby, and a great nearby hotel is Boone Super 8 Motel. If you came for an overnight stay Don Williams Campground is a perfect place to camp; if you're here, you could also go to gorgeous Don Williams Lake. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Seven Oaks, and after a long day outdoors Baymont Inn and Suites Boone is a fine spot to spend a night or       two. Man, is there a load of exciting stuff to do close to Lost Lake. Camping is available at Ledges State Park, and if you're a golfer then a tremendous close by course is Honey Creek Golf Club. Big Creek Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and hey, Bear Creek is a great local stream. From a rainfall point of view Lost Lake is a rather common spot; the wettest month of the year is frequently June, that's the one that rains the most, and January                  meanwhile is the driest month. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lost Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's.
