Lake McBride, Johnson County, Iowa     User input for Lake McBride, Johnson County, Iowa: Lisa Rzepecki: I have only been at Lake McBride once but I am definitely going back.  We have plans in the works to make a day of it in the very near future.  The first time was such a pleasant experience that we can't wait to spend more time there. Joe Northrup: I absolutly love this lake the fishing is good the water is clean and the beach is a nice place to cool off! My kids love it and the boating is relaxing nice and slow no confusion. And there are plenty of facilities if you're out in the boat if your kids or wife need to use the bathroom! And I highly recommend renting a pontoon boat from the livery for at least an hour. It is fun! So many entertaining things in the neighborhood of Lake McBride, clearly extraordinary. Golf can be played at Lake Macbride Golf Course; Cedar River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. Summertime highs at Lake McBride mostly tend to be in the 80's; through summer nights       temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lake McBride fall into the 0's. A perfect location to camp here at Lake McBride is Scales Pointe Campground and Marina; while you're here, you could also take a look at picturesque Twin Lake. There are plenty of folks from Cedar Rapids here at Lake McBride. Hiking is a popular thing to do around                  Lake McBride; Lake MacBride State Park Trail is a tremendous local trail, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Coralville, Ia is a nice place to spend a night or two. From a precipitation point of view Lake McBride is a reasonably normal place; the month with most of the rain is June; January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
