Iowa Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Bluffs Run RV Park at Horseshoe Casino is a fine local campground, and a tour to Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail is worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. That right there is a lot already, but it carries on; Iowa Lake has it all. Near Iowa Lake you discover a golf course       called Westwood Park Golf Course, and good hiking is available along the Boyer Chute Trails. If you need a place to stay Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, Council Bluffs is a nice choice, and camping at Tomes Country Club Acres Park is always a magnificent experience. There's great hiking along the Copper Creek Connector Trail; Iowa Lake is not the only spot nearby, Carter Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Iowa Lake you                  will meet lots of people from nearby Omaha-Council Bluffs; a glorious nearby hotel is Best Western Crossroads Of The Bluffs. Throughout the summer months highs here at Iowa Lake get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 60's. During the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Iowa Lake are in the 10's.
