Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Center Lake, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Spirit       Lake here. Camping is available at Lake Okoboji Untd Mthdst Camp. Man, is there plenty of enjoyable stuff to do near Horseshoe Lake.
