This is a great area for folks who like lakes. Balls Lake is a lake in close proximity; a glorious place to camp here at Horseshoe Lake is Woodland Camp Park Manager. This lake is so wonderful. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Desoto Bend Trail, and after a long day outdoors SUPER 8 MOTEL - BLAIR is a wonderful location to spend a night or two. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Horseshoe       Lake; June is the month that gets the most rain; January meanwhile is the driest month. Golf can be played at River Wilds Golf Club, and Horseshoe Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Wilson Island State Park is a great local campground. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Horseshoe Lake. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the                  winter temperatures at Horseshoe Lake plunge into the 0's. Going for a hike along the Boyer Chute Trails will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Blair.
