For the period of the days of summer at Honey Lake highs are commonly in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's, and night lows throughout the wintertime for Honey Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Honey Lake without first going for a hike along the Desoto Bend Trail; Honey Creek Campground is a glorious campground nearby.       Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a delightful time here at Honey Lake. Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail is a delightful location in the neighborhood of Honey Lake, and there are great spots to explore along the Boyer Chute Trails. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Carter Lake/Eppley Arpt. is a good spot to spend a night or two, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Omaha-Council Bluffs. The yearly rain here at Honey                  Lake is about average; May is when you get the most rain here, and January on the other hand is the driest. If you need a place to stay Candlewood Suites OMAHA is a tremendous choice; Hanthorn Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. A lake close by is Jungbluth Reservoir; you can stay the night at NP Dodge Park Campground.
