Don't leave Hawks Ponds without first going for a hike along the Lower Ice Cave Trail; dry warm beds await you at Heartland Inn Decorah. Hawks Ponds gets a common amount       of annual precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. Hawks Ponds is good enough to spend more than a day at, Highland General Store is a good local campground, and good hiking is available along the Oneota Drive Recreational Trail. For the duration of the warm months at Hawks Ponds temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's.
