If you are in Pottawattamie county it's always a good idea to stop by Hanthorn Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not take a look at Honey Lake near Hanthorn Lake. There's so much to do here at Hanthorn Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Garden Valley Courts is a nice location for that, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Copper Creek Connector Trail. At Hanthorn Lake all through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful
nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Carter Lake/Eppley Arpt.; if you came to camp NP Dodge Park Campground is a great place to do that. An afternoon playing golf at Shoreline Golf Course is always a pleasure, and if the weather is splendid,
you can go for a hike along the Boyer Chute Trails. The annual precipitation here at Hanthorn Lake is about average; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here while January is ordinarily the driest month.
