After a long day outdoors Best Western Nebraska City Inn is a nice spot to spend a night or two, and you can go for a hike on the Waubonsie State Park Trail. Throughout the months of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Forneys Lake. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures       at Forneys Lake dip into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Nebraska City, Ne, and you can stay the night at Victorian Acres RV Park and Campgrounds. An average amount of rain falls at Forneys Lake; through June this area sees the most rain while January is ordinarily the driest month. Good hiking is available along the Steamboat Trace Trail.
