Through the days of summer highs here at Dead Lake get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are frequently in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Dead Lake dip into the 0's. Sundown Mountain is a very popular ski area around here,       and you can stay the night at Nelson Dewey State Park. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Dead Lake, for example Spring Lake, and of course, A trip to Adams Mill Hollow is always fun. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Dyersville is a tremendous site to get some rest, and on a delightful day you get a fine panorama of Hefel Ridge from Dead Lake. Having a wonderful time at Dead Lake is painless. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Dyersville                  is a perfect site to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Dead Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Guttenberg RV Park is a good site for that. A typical amount of rain falls here at Dead Lake; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest of the months is January.
