A round of golf at nearby Indian Hills Golf Club is a good way to kill some time, and if you came for an overnight stay Cenla Campground is a splendid place to camp. Minnow Ponds is a glorious lake close to Center Lake; there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Horseshoe Bend Trail. Don't forget to have a look at Atwell Point since you're here at Center       Lake, and a day at Omaha Beach is time well spent. Riverside Hills has good slopes and a friendly staff, and the Barney Peterson Memorial Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. Center Lake gets a common amount of annual precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. A great swamp right next door to Center Lake is Jemmerson Slough; dry warm beds await                  you at Village East Resort. Beaches are delightful; and Omaha Beach near Center Lake is no exception. White Oaks Camp Grounds is a great campground nearby; after a long day outdoors Spirit Lake Super 8 Motel is a perfect site to spend a night or two. High temperatures at Center Lake all through the months of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Center Lake are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
