Don't leave Center Lake without first going for a hike along the Barney Peterson Memorial Trail. Just can't get enough of Center Lake. There's good hiking along the Horseshoe Bend Trail, and you have to visit Atwell Point when you're here. Ramada Limited Lake Okoboji is a tremendous place to get some rest, and since you're here you can play some golf       at Indian Hills Golf Club. Center Lake is not far at all from Spirit Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Spirit Lake/Okoboji. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Riverside Hills is a magnificent location to do that, and you can stay the night at White Oaks Camp Grounds. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Center Lake; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down during                  the wintertime temperatures at Center Lake plunge into the 0's. Do pop by Minnow Ponds right next door to Center Lake, it's a lovely lake, and Omaha Beach is pretty close by if you're in a beach type of mood. This lake is so wonderful. Why not pop by a swamp like Jemmerson Slough while you're here at Center Lake, and you can hit the beach if you want, Omaha Beach is practically right here.
