Big Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. For the period of the summer months highs here at Big Lake get into the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. to spend more than a day at, Tomes Country Club Acres Park is a magnificent local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is good here at Big Lake, you can go for a hike along the Copper Creek Connector Trail. Lakes?
Sure, Lake Manawa is around here. All our national parks are fine sites to check out, and Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail is no exception.
Big Lake is a good site of typical rainfall; May is the month that gets the most
rain, and the driest month of the year is January. On a good day at Big Lake you can take a hike along the Desoto Bend Trail. There's so much to do here at Big Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bluffs Run RV Park at Horseshoe Casino is a good place for that.
