There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Chestnut Mountain; some of the water close by flows, like Beaver Creek. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Bards Lake. Summer overnight
lows plunge down to the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Bards Lake. Fin An Feather is a good campground here, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Jackson County Recreational Trail.
