Going for a hike on the Boyer Chute Trails is always a fine adventure; Days Inn Missouri Valley is a glorious location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There are swamps here too; Willow Marsh is close at hand, and if you came for an overnight stay Wilson Island State Park is a fine location to camp. During your trip to Balls Lake you'll meet some folks       from Omaha-Council Bluffs for sure; Woodland Camp Park Manager is a pleasant campground nearby. During the summer months highs here at Balls Lake get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Balls Lake drop into the 0's. Looking for some flowing water? Try Fish Lake, and after a long day outdoors SUPER 8 MOTEL - BLAIR is a splendid                  location to spend a night or two. Balls Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; all through June this area sees the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture.
