Waiopae is a lake worth visiting. The high level of precipitation makes Waiopae a quite wet place; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest month of the year is June. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Kahonua, and Kapoho Crater is an interesting thing to distinguish while you're here. Green Lake is a great lake in close proximity to Waiopae, and at Waiopae you can see Kukii. All through the months of summer

| | here at Waiopae, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 70's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Waiopae drop into the 60's. While you're here at Waiopae you should pop by Hala Point, and a great nearby hotel is Hilo Seaside Hotel.
