Aakukui Valley is a delightful spot to explore. This spot is so good, just explore all the exciting stuff to do near Waikaia Reservoir. The Alakai Swamp Trail is a great hiking trail near Waikaia Reservoir, and if the weather is beautiful, you get a good panorama of Kanekula from Waikaia Reservoir. Kalaeloa Reservoir       is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and if you want to hit the beach, Davidsons Beach is nearby. If you come at the right time of year, Hanalei offers some glorious whitewater, and a lake nearby is Nonopahu Reservoir. High temperatures at Waikaia Reservoir all through the summer months are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 80's with temperatures at Waikaia                  Reservoir dipping down into the 60's throughout winter nights. Waikaia Reservoir gets very little rainfall; January is the wettest month with most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
