Waikea Pond is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Waikea Pond you can take a hike along the Maulua Trail. A stunning lake like Lokowaka Pond close to Waikea Pond is a tremendous location to pop by, and needless to say Alenaio Stream is a striking stream that is worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, and do stop by Reservoir Number One, it's a wonderful lake.

At Waikea Pond throughout the days of summer highs are in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 70's, and after the sun is down through the winter
temperatures at Waikea Pond fall into the 60's. Waikea Pond gets a good deal of water; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; June is when it's the driest. Hlai is scenic and can be observed from Waikea Pond, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to make out at Hilo Harbor near Waikea Pond.
