Waikea Pond commonly gets a great deal of rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. During the long summer days here at Waikea Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. Once the sun is       down it dips down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 70's, and winter nights come with lows in the 60's to Waikea Pond. Some nearby water includes Alenaio Stream, and lealea Point is very near and is a delightful place to visit. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff to do are really abundant here at Waikea Pond. On a delightful day you obtain a panorama of Hlai from Waikea Pond, and Machida Beach is a charming beach to explore.                  Do go to Hoakimau Pond next to Waikea Pond, it's a beautiful lake, and Blonde Reef is close at hand, and is a great place. Why not stop at Hilo Harbor since you're here; a day at picturesque Bakers Beach in close proximity to Waikea Pond is a delightful thing to do. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Uncle Billys Hilo Bay, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Naniloa Country Club is nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
