Do take a look at paeula Reservoir in close proximity to Upper Helemano Reservoir, it's a beautiful lake; since you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Honolulu. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Camp Timberline since you're here at Upper Helemano Reservoir, and nearby you stumble on the Honouliuli Contour       Trail which is a good hiking trail. If only every site had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great globe it would be. If you need a spot to stay Turtle Bay Resort is a perfect choice, and close to Upper Helemano Reservoir you find a golf course called Hawaii Country Club. You'll hit upon a wonderful lake called Wahiawa Reservoir near Upper Helemano Reservoir; camping is available at Camp Mokuleia. This lake is so wonderful. The Kawailoa Trail is                  a great hiking trail near Upper Helemano Reservoir. All through the summer months at Upper Helemano Reservoir temperatures are mostly in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 70's; nighttime lows at Upper Helemano Reservoir through the wintertime regularly dip into the 50's. A day at beautiful Haleiwa Army Beach in the vicinity of Upper Helemano Reservoir is a glorious thing to do, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Summit Trail.
