If you need a place to stay Volcano House is a great choice, and the Mauna Loa Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. Inn at Kulaniapia is a good location to get some rest; Puukp is a peak you can make out from Solomons Waterhole. This lake is so wonderful. Solomons Waterhole is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Nmakanipaio Campground is a glorious local campground, and on a wonderful day       you can take a hike along the Puu Oo Volcano Trail. Solomons Waterhole gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally January, that's the one that rains the most, and June is the month with the least moisture. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 50's to Solomons Waterhole while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight                  here at Solomons Waterhole. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Solomons Waterhole. There is a nice hiking trail in the vicinity of Solomons Waterhole called the Sulphur Banks Trail.
