| | Number One. A great close by hotel is Uncle Billys Hilo Bay, and there are perfect sites to explore along the Maulua Trail. Summer at Reservoir Number One comes with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 70's, and nighttime lows at Reservoir Number One during the wintertime typically descend into the 60's. This lake is so wonderful. | |

Hilo Hawaiian Hotel is a wonderful site to get some rest, and don't leave Reservoir Number One without first going for a hike along the Hilo Trail. Reservoir Number One gets lots of water; March is when you get the most rain here;
the driest month is June. A visit to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is worthwhile. Playing golf is lots of fun at Naniloa Country Club, and there's brilliant hiking along the Puu Oo Volcano Trail.
