Hiking along the Puako-Waimea Trail is good fun, and Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is a good place to get some rest. And if that's not sufficient, there's a load more       to do next to Puuokumau Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. The view of picturesque Puu Hue near Puuokumau Reservoir is perfect; you can hit the beach if you want, Pahoa Beach is practically right here.
