If you are in Kauai county it's always a good idea to stop by Puulani Reservoir. Dry warm beds await you at Aston Waimea Plantation Cottages. Puulani Reservoir is pretty dried out mostly; most of the rain falls during January, and June is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. A pretty lake like Kapa Reservoir near Puulani Reservoir is a brilliant location to go to, and there's delightful hiking along the Alakai Swamp Trail.

to Puulani Reservoir. A round of golf at nearby Kukuiolono Golf is a good way to kill some time, and Waipuloku Spring is always fun to check out.
If you want to hit the beach, Secret Beach is around here, and don't leave Puulani Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Mhihi Waialae Trail.
