This lake is so wonderful. You get a nice panorama of Ahua from Puana Reservoir, and a fine place nearby is Kula Valley. There is a splendid hiking trail close to Puana Reservoir called the Alakai Swamp Trail, and a short visit to Kaukiuki Falls is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. The Mhihi Waialae Trail is a great hiking trail close to Puana Reservoir, and Poipu Kai Resort is a great spot to get some       rest. All the outdoors amusing things in the vicinity of Puana Reservoir will keep you coming back repeatedly. Kula River flows through this region, and a delightful beach close by is Palama Beach. High temperatures at Puana Reservoir during the warm months are in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 80's while the cold winter nights at Puana Reservoir are in the 60's. It is very arid here                  at Puana Reservoir ordinarily; January is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is June. Lakes are such calm spots, why not visit Elima Reservoir near Puana Reservoir; a round of golf at nearby Kukuiolono Golf is a perfect way to kill some time.
