Elima Reservoir is a tremendous lake close to Puana Reservoir, and hiking along the Alakai Swamp Trail is nice fun. You get a delightful sight       of Ahua from Puana Reservoir, and why not take a little visit to Kula River since you're here. You absolutely ought to like Puana Reservoir. Puana Reservoir is right by the Mhihi Waialae Trail; The Point at Poipu is a delightful place to get some rest. A short spree to Kaukiuki Falls is always worthwhile, and drift down the rapids of Hanalei in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. A good spot close to Puana Reservoir is Kula Valley, and if you want to hit the                  beach, Secret Beach is in the vicinity. At Puana Reservoir all through the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 80's with temperatures at Puana Reservoir dipping down into the 60's during winter nights. A charming lake like Mau Reservoir in close proximity to Puana Reservoir is a delightful location to visit, and since you're here and you like golf, you can visit Kukuiolono Golf.
