All the water falling down from the sky makes Peahi Reservoir a wet place; the month with most of the rain is January, and the driest of the months is June. A lake close by is Kapalaalaea Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. There are glorious spots to discover along the Sliding Sands Trail, and Peahi Reservoir is a site with       many visitors from Kahului-Wailuku. Summertime highs at Peahi Reservoir mostly tend to be in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 70's while the cold winter nights at Peahi Reservoir are in the 60's. Visiting Haleakala National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet; Peahi Reservoir is not the only spot nearby, Kaupakulua Reservoir is a nearby lake. Man, is there a heap                  of cool things to do right next door to Peahi Reservoir. On a wonderful day you get a sight of Kapuai o Kamehameha from Peahi Reservoir; after a long day outdoors TropoHouse B&B is a magnificent site to spend a night or two. A round of golf at nearby Pukalani Country Club is a nice way to kill some time, and a pleasant place to camp here at Peahi Reservoir is Hosmer Grove Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A trip to Halehaku Gulch is always fun, and don't leave Peahi Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Kaup Trail.
