Paiakuli Reservoir is a location that is rather dried up commonly; the wettest month of the year is frequently January, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Paiakuli Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Waimanu Trail, and this is a popular site for folks from Hilo. Good hiking is available along the Puako-Waimea Trail, and       if you're here, you might as well go to Hauani Gulch. Not far from Paiakuli Reservoir, you'll stumble on Waimea Reservoir which is a stunning lake, and dry warm beds await you at The Fairmont Orchid Hawaii. Summertime highs at Paiakuli Reservoir regularly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 70's with temperatures at Paiakuli Reservoir dipping down into the 60's all through                  winter nights.
