If you like lakes and you're in this part of Hawaii you can check out Nuu Salt Pond. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Nuu Salt Pond. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are commonly in the 70's with temperatures at Nuu Salt Pond dipping down into the 60's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Sliding Sands Trail, and a fine beach nearby is Mokulau Beach. Be careful coming

Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Hosmer Grove Campground is a perfect local campground.
Going for a hike on the Kaup Trail is always a great adventure, and don't miss out on a spree to Haleakala National Park
if you're here. A wonderful close by hotel is Maui Prince Hotel Makena Resort; Waiu Spring is a gorgeous spot to have a look at while you're at Nuu Salt Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Waipu is a beach right next door to Nuu Salt
Pond that you can visit, and do schedule some time to check out Apole Point if you have a chance.
Nuu Salt Pond is a wet spot that gets a great deal of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually January, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is September.
