Kaupakulua Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Sliding Sands Trail, and Kaupakulua Reservoir is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Hosmer Grove Campground is a perfect local campground. If you want a little side trip, try Awalau Gulch; do schedule some time to take a look at Kapuaraaka if you have a chance. Throughout the long summer days, highs usually are in the 80's at Kaupakulua Reservoir.

| | Summer overnight lows fall down to the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 70's, and overnight lows in the 60's for Kaupakulua Reservoir.
If time allows, Haleakala National Park is a national park worth taking a look at, and Kapuai o Kamehameha is clearly visible from Kaupakulua Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. There's glorious hiking along the Kaup Trail, and Waihee Stream is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at. Golf can be played at Pukalani Country Club,
and don't leave Kaupakulua Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Halemauu Trail. Man, is there a lot of cool things to do right next door to Kaupakulua Reservoir. During your tour to Kaupakulua Reservoir you'll meet some
folks from Kahului-Wailuku for sure, and Leinaala - MCH is a great spot to get some rest.
Enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Kaulahao, and if you need a place to stay TropoHouse B&B is a brilliant choice.
